About Us

Reducing the climate footprint of our operations

Carbon Negative Industries focuses on Regenerative Agriculture for soil, the best possible outcome for the farmer (in an agriculturally viable operation) that gradually shifts towards Regenerative Agriculture for soil. As such, management practices at farms need changing.

The CNI Vision

Restoring the earth’s bio-health

Modern farming models (mostly with chemicals) for food production, continue to severely impact our primary ‘source of life’ (i.e. healthy soil and related biodiversity).

Presently, soil health continues to be threatened by unsustainable farming practices which mainly involve the inclusion of undesirable chemicals. Chemicals devastate the bio-health of soil.

Without sound, healthy, biodiverse soil, the ability to sustainably produce food poses a potentially catastrophic threat to the health of our planet Earth.

There are solutions to prevent this from happening!

Our vision is to contribute—in a significant way—to the restoration of the Earth’s bio-health.

The CNI Mission

Sequestrating CO₂ in the atmosphere bit by bit

Without the restoration of agricultural soil’s natural biodiversity, sustainable production of food will never be possible—not now, nor in the future.

The restoration of healthy agricultural soil, by merely repairing it at a micro-organism level, is not possible without first unlocking the healing process with high-quality carbon. When high-quality carbon is returned to the soil, healthy carbon-rich soil is the favourable result that naturally follows.

To date, acceptable carbon levels in agricultural soil have been decimated by wrongful agricultural practices—all in the search of high-yield farming for big financial profits. This gives rise to the destruction of sustainable farming and agricultural practices.

It’s our mission to facilitate the restoration of healthy levels of carbon in agricultural soil, whilst helping the farmer not to lose out on the pursuit of profitability even when farming in more sustainable ways. This leads to the agricultural industry doing its bit to help sequestrate CO2 in the atmosphere, bit by bit.

Director

Luke’s primary life goal is to help people build, nurture and foster sustainable communities that keep growing—all, necessary ingredients for a sustainable ‘green friendly’ future. Communities that are built and maintained by the people are ultimately for the people. Luke’s passion and contribution to see a greener more sustainable planet continue unabated—this has become and will continue to be Luke’s living legacy. At Carbon Negative Industries, this is most evident in Luke’s thought and output that is linked to the research, development and manufacture of biochar. By putting carbon back into agricultural soil, a totally new paradigm in agricultural best practices is fostered. With biochar, the capturing and storing of carbon promotes optimal and effective soil management best practices that not only counteract the negative effects of climate change but reverse them—the net effect: a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions on our planet.
